Vermeil Chalice – Charles-Antoine Blerzy (1798–1809)
Magnificent vermeil chalice crafted by renowned Parisian silversmith Charles-Antoine Blerzy, dating from 1798–1809.
The stepped base is engraved with lanceolate patterns featuring crosses, grape clusters, and wheat ears, symbols of the Eucharist.
The baluster-shaped knob is framed by ringed friezes of piastres, and the openwork faux-cup alternates between wheat and grape designs.
Hallmarked with the Paris Coq mark (for 950‰ silver) and the Vieillard head (used from 1798 to 1809).
