Saint John of the Cross and Saint Teresa of Avila Reliquary

Reliquary containing relics of Saint John of the Cross and Saint Teresa of Avila, two major figures of the Carmelite Order and Doctors of the Church.

The relics are mounted in a traditional round theca on a red fabric background, each set within a diamond-shaped paper support. The handwritten labels “S. Joa. a Cruce” (Saint John of the Cross) and “S. Teresiae Vir.” (Saint Teresa, Virgin) identify the relics.

Both Saints were central to the reform of the Carmelite Order in the 16th century and are renowned for their profound mystical writings and spiritual teachings.
