Saint Benedict Joseph Labre First-Class 19th Century Bronze Reliquary
Rare and important bronze reliquary statue featuring Saint Benedict Joseph Labre, the famous pilgrim saint known for his life of poverty and devotion.
The sculpture depicts the saint standing in a humble attitude, holding his pilgrim’s rosary, characteristic of his iconography. The cylindrical base contains an integrated reliquary framed with ornate floral decoration.
At its center lies a first-class relic (ex ossibus) of Saint Benedict Joseph Labre, carefully mounted on a red textile background with radiating motif and labeled “b. Joseph Labre”.
Crafted in bronze during the late 19th century, this devotional object combines sculpture and relic veneration, making it both a liturgical and collector’s piece.
