Holy Relics: Silent Presence of the Saints, Source of Inner Light
In the tradition of the Church, a relic is not merely a remnant of the past.
It is a living sign a discreet but real presence that makes the nearness of the saints tangible and opens us to grace.
What Are the Three Classes of Relics?
First Class: A part of the saint’s body (bone, blood, hair…)
Second Class: An object that belonged to or was used by the saint (clothing, rosary…)
Third Class: An object that has been touched to a relic of a higher class
A Living Bond: The Communion of Saints
Relics are not magical objects. They do not do anything on their own.
But they reveal something deeper: the communion of saints, the living bond between the faithful on earth and those in Heaven.
They remind us that holiness is possible and it begins here and now.
Why We Offer the Reliquary, Not the Relic
To welcome a relic is to make room for a Presence.
It is to be touched by the story of a life given to God, and by the peace that life continues to radiate.
Since the earliest centuries of the Church, relics have been sources of consolation, renewed faith, and inner healing.
At L’Icône in Lourdes, I have met, since 2003, those seeking sacred objects filled with faith and memory.
As an iconographer and specialist in sacred art and religious antiques,
I offer a carefully selected collection of antique reliquaries often unique always chosen with reverence, discernment, and faith.
I only offer what I could venerate myself in good conscience.
We do not sell the relic itself.
In accordance with Canon Law, the relic is offered.
Only the reliquary the vessel is sold.
A Quiet Presence in Your Home or Chapel
Whether you are a priest, pilgrim, or simply a soul in search of meaning
a holy relic can become a quiet sign,
a humble and faithful presence,
a daily reminder of Christ’s love in our lives,
and of those who gave their lives for Him.
“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His faithful ones.”
(Psalm 116:15)
